Cancellations and Right of Withdrawal

On this page you read how to cancel an order at ChefsCotton and how the European right of withdrawal applies to your purchase. Orders are processed quickly, so please send a cancellation request as soon as possible.

Cancel an order that has not shipped yet

As long as your order has not been shipped, you can ask us to cancel it. A cancellation is always a request. We then try to stop the order, but the process may already be in motion, so we cannot promise that every cancellation can still be applied.

You send a cancellation request from your account:

  1. Go to your account, enter your email address and click Continue.
  2. Open the email from our store and copy the six-digit verification code.
  3. Enter the code to sign in. No password is needed.
  4. Open the order and click "Cancel items".
  5. Select the items, add a short note and confirm your request.

You receive a confirmation email once your request is submitted. We review every request by hand and let you know whether the cancellation could be applied. If the order was already shipped, we help you with a return instead.

Your right of withdrawal

If you buy as a consumer within the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 days, without giving a reason. The period of 14 days starts on the day you, or someone you appoint, receive the goods.

To use this right, tell us clearly that you withdraw from the purchase before the 14 days end. You can do this through your account by requesting a return, or by email to [email protected]. A short, plain statement is enough. After you have notified us, you have another 14 days to send the goods back.

Return delivered items

Has your order already arrived? Then a return is the right route. You find the full steps on our returns page. Return the items unused and in the original packaging where possible.

Personalised and embroidered items

Items made to your specification or personalised for you, such as products with embroidery or a printed logo, are excluded from the right of withdrawal under European law. These items cannot be cancelled once production has started, and cannot be returned unless they arrive faulty. See our personalisation conditions for details.

Refunds

When a cancellation or withdrawal is approved, we refund the amount you paid for the returned items, including the standard delivery cost of the order, within 14 days. We use the same payment method you used for the order. For a withdrawal we may wait until we have received the goods back, or until you show that you have sent them. Return shipping costs are for your own account, unless the item arrived faulty.
